Humanomics

This Chicago School economist tells me that she, “loves everything about economics” but would like to see it go further. For McCloskey, this means acknowleging the messiness of human existence by turning to a broader spectrum of disciplines in order to more fully understand human behaviour. McCloskey draws inspiration from the man who she sees as one of the original practitioners of Humanomics, Adam Smith. So can Humanomics help us provide a fairer, fuller understanding of our economic lives and in so doing, help create happier, more balanced societies?
